The company’s founding partner, Si plays a key role on the boards of Young Enterprise, The Prince’s Trust and Business Link North East. She has also recently accepted a two-year role on an EU Commission exploring future policy on effectively communicating enterprise across Europe.

Diane Gates Creative DirectorAs Creative Director, Di's job is to make sure bgroup keeps on track to be the world's best ever creative agency. Leading strategically on our biggest campaigns, Di makes sure that all bgroup clients receive the first-class creative treatment they deserve from our remarkably talented team.

Margaret Conway Office ManagerMargaret deals with all areas of finances and general administration for bgroup. With over 35 years’ experience in both the public and private sector and a BSc (Hons) in Human Organisations, she is also the company’s HR Officer.

Sophie Lee Senior Account ManagerWith event, project and marketing management experience, Sophie manages the delivery of some of bgroup’s highest profile marketing campaigns. Sophie has worked in the area of marketing and technology for 14 years and was instrumental in setting up the North East's technology networks, the DMN and Codeworks Connect. She also launched one of the region's best known networking events, Think and a Drink

Madi Mackay Account ManagerMadi is responsible for managing client relationships and co-ordinating and planning integrated projects using creative, digital, PR, marketing and media elements. Born in Newcastle, she moved back to her roots this year after working at well-known advertising agencies in Leeds and Manchester. She has worked on a wide variety of retail accounts such as ghd, William Hill, Nestlé and Silentnight, as well as projects for Leeds Council and Leeds media.

Joanne George Account ExecutiveJo is the main client contact for some of bgroup’s biggest accounts. Jo brings four years’ experience and a BA (Hons) in Business to her role, taking each project from initial estimate through to completion. Jo has worked both nationally and internationally with a range of clients, including AstraZeneca, Nestle, Proctor and Gamble, The Sage and The Percy Hedley Foundation.

Alistair York Account ExecutiveAlistair provides an important link between clients and bgroup’s creative teams. From planning campaigns and handling budgets to briefing creative staff, Alistair oversees projects throughout their development for clients including the University of Derby, Newcastle University and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.

Simon Wilson Head of CreativeSimon heads up the studio and creative concepts. He has over 17 years’ experience working in advertising and design. Simon has worked both nationally and internationally on a range of leading brands, including Mercedes, Sony, Triumph Underwear, Typhoo Tea, FT, Yell and locally for Newcastle College, TyneMet College and The Entrepreneurs’ Forum.

Rich Endean Senior CreativeRich is responsible for many of bgroup’s creative concepts and brand development. He has worked on a number of regional and national campaigns and has six years’ experience working on a wide range of projects from government-backed awareness campaigns to corporate identities for private sector firms. Clients include The Northern Way, Make Your Mark campaign, Endeavour Partnership Business Lawyers and University of Derby.

Chris has experience developing a range of websites, from large e-commerce sites and innovative Web 2.0-style integrations, through to conventional brochure and campaign sites.

Rob Kilby bdaily Web DeveloperRob is responsible for the technical development of bgroup’s online business news service, bdaily. Rob is involved in all aspects of bdaily’s architecture, as well as on some of bgroup’s large digital projects. With over five years’ IT support experience, Rob also handles the company’s IT support needs.

Caz Ulley Senior CopywriterCaz heads up the copywriting team. She brings six years’ experience to the role as writer and editor, which includes work on both traditional and new media projects. She is also responsible for bgroup’s proofing service. Caz’s client list includes Yell, NHS, Make Your Mark campaign and the Northern Way.

Robert Perry (Pez) bdaily EditorPez is the editor of bgroup’s online business news service, bdaily. He works with people and organisations across the North East to provide a business-focused news outlet for the region. Pez has four years’ experience in media and publishing, and has written for national publications, including the Parliamentary Monitor.
